After that we finished it with a couple coats of poly and DONE! We kept the original handles because they were awesome and totally fit the era piece. My husband loved the finish product so much that we wants to keep it, but NO. This bad boy is up for sale. This piece will definitely make a statement or add an element of color to any home!

The 40's Waterfall Dresser
So we found this little gem, all beat up and lonely. Something about it caught our eye. Perhaps it was the art deco design or the cool vibe of the 1940's. We sanded it all down, like to the original wood. I thought a stain would do it justice, but it didn't. The stain just didn't make it stand out enough. So more sanding took place and a cool "Turkish Tile" blue paint was added. Then some dark walnut stain in the grooves of the design. Wow. . . that made all the difference!
